Veteran politicianVERNON MWAANGAhas urged registered voters to turn out in large numbers and exercise their right to vote in Thursday’s General Election. MWAANGA has reminded voters that they have a constitutional right to elect their preferredPresident, Members of Parliament, Mayors and local councillors. He says the election campaigns, which end on Wednesday,August 12, have largely been peaceful.
MWAANGA has expressed confidence that the counting of votes and declaration of results will also be conducted in an orderly and peaceful manner. He says Zambia has a proud record of conducting peaceful elections and has urged citizens to uphold this tradition during the current and future elections. MWAANGA was speaking in a statement made available toZNBC News in Lusaka.
