Durban City etched their name into South African football history after clinching the 2026 Nedbank Cup title with a 2–1 victory over TS Galaxy at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday. The KwaZulu-Natal outfit came from behind to secure a memorable win, with goals from Mfanafuthi Mkhize and Jean Lubumba sealing the comeback after an earlier own goal by Lubumba had handed Galaxy the lead. Galaxy settled in the game and got their first real shot at goal in the 27th minute when Mpho Mvelase found Victor Letsoalo who missed the target. Nine minutes later it was Maseko again for City but he missed the target.
