Mozambique: MozParks hosts Zimbabwean Ambassador to strengthen industrial cooperation and investment ties

MozParks welcomed the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, H.E. Victor Matemadanda, to Beluluane Industrial Park for an official visit aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and exploring new opportunities for industrial collaboration between Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The visit that highlighted the strong relationship between the countries included the tour to two companies in Beluluane Industrial Park, namely ETG and Beleza, where the delegation was introduced to ongoing industrial operations and value chain activities, to further strengthen their understanding of Mozambique’s industrial ecosystem and private sector capabilities.

In addition to highlighting the operations and model of the park, the visit also served as a way for MozParks to present its aim with the development across Mozambique and the communities in each of the provinces. During the visit, the Ambassador emphasized the urgency of moving from dialogue to implementation, highlighting the need to facilitate practical collaboration and accelerate joint efforts between the two countries. “This is very critical, and it’s important for national economic development and also job security for Zimbabwean citizens, of course.” Stated Ambassador Matemadanda.

“For Africa to achieve long-term growth and sustainable economic development, it is essential for each country to prioritize industrialization as a driver of investment, job creation, and economic transformation,” stated the General Director of MozParks, Onório Manuel. The visit marked another step toward strengthening cooperation between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, with a shared focus on industrial growth, investment, and job creation. Through initiatives like these, MozParks continues to position itself as a platform for regional collaboration and sustainable economic development that benefits both countries and their communities.
