Mozambique: Maputo water utility launches platform to speed up leak reporting

Part of the “StopFuga” campaign, the initiative aims to reduce water losses, improve operational efficiency and strengthen links between the company, its customers and communities.

According to SAAS-Maputo, the new platform allows anyone to report a water leak simply and quickly using an internet-enabled device, without the need to travel or go through bureaucratic procedures. “Once registered, the incident is forwarded to the responsible technical teams, allowing for more organised management, better monitoring and faster intervention,” the company said in a statement.
