King Charles strips Prince Andrew of Royal titles and orders him to leave Windsor residence

LONDON — King Charles III has taken the most decisive action yet against his younger brother, ordering the removal of all remaining royal titles and privileges from Prince Andrew and instructing him to vacate his long-time Windsor home.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday that the Duke of York’s styles, titles and honours are being withdrawn. The statement said the move was “necessary to protect the integrity of the monarchy,” though it noted that Andrew “continues to deny all allegations made against him.”

Under the decision, Andrew will no longer be referred to as “His Royal Highness” or “Prince Andrew.”
