HARARE — Government has taken a decisive step toward overhauling how Zimbabwe’s cities and towns enforce their own regulations, after Cabinet this week approved the Municipal Police and Courts Bill, a piece of legislation set to give local authorities dedicated police units and courts of their own for the first time.The Bill was presented to Cabinet by the Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Honourable Ziyambi Ziyambi, in his capacity as Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Legislation.
