The Toyota Cheetahs announced the signing of double Rugby World Cup winner and veteran Springbok scrum-half, Faf de Klerk, on Sunday. According to the Cheetah’s website, De Klerk has committed to a two-year deal that will see him make Bloemfontein his home from June 2026. “His arrival marks one of the most significant signings in the franchise’s history, bringing a wealth of international experience and a winning pedigree to the Free State.” Klerk has established himself as a cornerstone of the modern Springbok era.
Known for his abrasive defensive style, tactical kicking, and lightning-fast service, he was a pivotal figure in the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cup-winning campaigns.
