On 9 June, the first day of the Mozambique – EU Business Forum 2026 in Maputo, the European Union and Mozambique signed four agreements worth EUR 178 million to strengthen their strategic partnership and boost investment in Mozambique’s sustainable transition. After the signing, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, presided over the opening ceremony of the Forum, kicking off two days of dialogue and networking between government representatives, businesses, investors, and development partners in attendance.
