Kgatlana fires South Africa into TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON quarter-finals

Former African champions South Africa booked their place in the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso in their final Group B fixture on Tuesday evening. The decisive moment came in the 21st minute when Thembi Kgatlana finished from close range after a well-worked move involving Fikile Magama, securing all three points and confirming Banyana Banyana’s place in the knockout stages.
