Jockey’s recovery updates following serious injuries in Gqeberha horse racing incident

A YOUNG apprentice jockey,who wasthrownoffhis horse in an accident at Fairview Racecourse in Gqeberha on Friday, is recovering and expected tobe movedout of the critical care unit soon. According to South African Horse Racing (SA Horseracing), Mauritian-born rider Bavish Soodoo “suffered significant injuries” when his mount, Ravilious, broke down shortly after finishing second in Race 4. Soodoo was thrown from the horse after it stumbled andsubsequentlyfell on him.
