School pupil dies after fight at high school

A school pupil has died after he was allegedly struck in the head during a physical fight with another pupil at a high school in the Isithebe area of KZN on Tuesday morning. IPSS Medical Rescue responded to the school after receiving reports that a boy had been struck in the head and left unconscious following the altercation. On arrival, paramedics found that the pupil had succumbed to his injuries.

He was declared dead at the scene. The scene was handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS), which is expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. IPSS conveyed their ondolences have been extended to the family and friends of the deceased.
