According to a ministry statement, the exercise aims to trace 2,271 beneficiaries in the three provinces, including former Mozambican mineworkers who worked in South Africa and their dependants, and disburse a total of 327,869,590.37 rand from the fund.
The Mineworkers’ Provident Fund (MWPF) is a South African retirement and social security fund for mineworkers.
