The South African Chamber of Business in Mozambique (SACBM), in collaboration with Dra. Graça Machel, hosted a major social impact initiative at Mavalane General Hospital to commemorate the 2nd annual Mandela Day in Mozambique. Dedicated to supporting the hospital’s Pediatrics Department, the event brought together key dignitaries, including Dr.
Johnny Pitswane (High Commissioner of South Africa in Mozambique), Dr. Mario Jacob (Director of Mavalane Hospital), the Director of Health Services for the City of Maputo, and the Chairman and CEO and members of theexecutive leadership from the SACBM. Rooted in Nelson Mandela’s legacy of compassion, dignity, and service, this commemoration has become a flagship social impact pillar for the Chamber. Driven by the mobilization of its members and partners, SACBM delivered vital resources directly identified by hospital management to assist hospitalized children, their mothers, and frontline healthcare workers.
