PASTOR Victoria Duduzile Matsokere doesn’t know why men are seemingly afraid to take her as their marriage partner. The 33-year-old is affectionately known as Pastor Vicky in Nyazura. She is the founder of Victorious Love and Hope Foundation, which is based in Nyazura.
She also runs an orphanage and pays fees for nine children from different backgrounds and communities. Pastor Vicky believes her philanthropic work has also played a part in scaring away men who could have settled down with her. “They ended our love affairs because of the demanding responsibilities I have.
“Mudiwa wangu akandipa mari yekugadzirwa musoro ndinobva ndakoshesa kunotengera nherera zvekudya nemari iyoyo. “I want to believe such an attitude put my lovers off and they abandoned me. “At 33 years, I am yet to find a marriage partner and I have no biological children.” She plans to open orphanage homes in every province across the country.

“Communities have the potential to look after less privileged people in their society. “I want to believe my passion of assisting the less privileged is hereditary if not generational. “My mother and father used to help extended families and some members of our community and that spirit is within me.” Pastor Vicky said she is currently supporting nine children from different backgrounds and communities.
