What should have been a safe haven for a 14-year-old East Bank High School pupil has instead become a place of fear. This comes after the teenager was assaulted, allegedly by a group of fellow pupils, leaving her unconscious on school grounds, reported theAlex News. Her mother recounted the ordeal, which began as a verbal dispute on February 26.
โShe slapped her, but my daughter said she would not fight with her because they are many and she is alone.โ Later that day, the confrontation spilled into the community. The two girls fought again, but according to the mother, it was broken off. However, the following morning on February 27, the school phoned to say her daughter was injured following yet another fight.
When we got to school, she was unresponsive. We asked for the principal, but were told he was still in a meeting. I said I couldnโt wait while my child was like this.
