THE Zambian football fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of 15-year-old female footballer Annita Chomba, who collapsed during a Women’s National League match in Kabwe. Zambia Premier League (ZPL) CEO Joseph Chimpampwe confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement, describing the loss as devastating to the sport and the nation at large. “The Zambian Premier League (ZPL) is deeply saddened to confirm the tragic passing of Annita Chomba, a 15-year-old female footballer, who collapsed during a Women National League match in Kabwe,” Chimpampwe said.
