In local currency terms, the price adjustment brings costs down to ZWG40. 56 per kg from ZWG42. 31. “These updated LPG prices reflect our commitment to fair energy pricing in accordance with the Petroleum (Liquid Petroleum Gas Pricing) Regulations established in 2021,” stated ZERA officials.

Recent data from ZERA’s 2024 Annual Performance Report reveals significant growth in LPG consumption, reaching 77 million kilograms last year.
The sector now boasts 622 licensed retail outlets, achieving an impressive 93. 7% compliance rate with regulatory standards.
Ongoing Challenges and Safety Concerns Despite progress in formalizing the LPG market, ZERA continues to address challenges including illegal vending activities.
The regulator credits improved compliance to its crackdown on smuggled gas cylinders but acknowledges more work remains.
