HARARE– ZANU-PF Harare Province has issued a stern warning to organizers of planned political demonstrations slated for July 31, asserting that the ruling party will act decisively to prevent any disruption of peace in the capital. Speaking at a meeting convened for Harare party leadership on Sunday, Provincial Commissar Voyage Dambuza declared that it was time for the provincial leadership to weigh in on the proposed encounters, emphasizing that the party stands ready to defend both the President and ZANU-PF. “Let me warn those who are planning political demonstrations on July 31st,”Dambuza said.“This time around, as Harare Province, we will not fold our hands and watch you disturb the prevailing peace. We are ready to defend the President and our Party.

“ Dambuza further dismissed planned protests against Constitutional Amendment Act (CAA 3), describing any demonstration as futile since the bill is now law in Zimbabwe. He urged citizens to ignore mobilization calls and focus on their daily activities, assuring the public that July 31 would be “business as usual.” Also addressing the gathering, the ZANU-PF Harare Provincial Chairperson emphasized that anyone engaging in unsanctioned demonstrations would face the full force of the law. “ZANU-PF is a party that observes the law. So on 31st July, the law will take its course,”he stated.“If you see anyone committing illegal acts in our province, please report them to the police so that they will be arrested.”
