Youth demand greater action on unemployment

Gaolathe and his technocrats earlier this week wrapped the last of three budget pitsos held as part of the annual consultative meetings ahead of the budget next month. Engaging with the younger generation at the Youth Pitso in Gaborone, the Finance ministry officials found themselves under fire from frustrated citizens who demanded that greater action is required for economic empowerment, beyond the rhetoric. As such, we are now one step away from the shame of being labelled amongst the world’s worst offenders.

This is a national embarrassment that demands an immediate, united response from every corner of our society.
