Two-year-old Omphile Sethole was kidnapped from her grandmother’s bed on Saturday, May 2. The father of two-year-oldOmphile Sethole, who was snatched from her grandmother’s bed in the early hours of Saturday, May 2, has revealed that a suspicious vehicle was seen driving around their yard the day before she vanished. However, they are holding on to hope for her safe return.
The incident, which has sent shockwaves across the country, took place in Ga-Mabuela village in Mapela, Mokopane in Limpopo. Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the child’s 52-year-old grandmother woke at about 2am to use the bathroom and took Omphile with her before returning to bed. When she woke again at around 6am, the toddler was gone, and a window in the room was open. Family members and neighbours immediately searched the area but could not find the child.
