March and March leaderJacinta Ngobese-Zumahas denied claims that the movement is funded by political parties or businesses, amid growing calls for scrutiny of its financial backing.
Asked to identify the business that funded the media briefing, Ngobese-Zuma said the company did not want publicity around its once-off sponsorship. “They did not want to be identified. They assisted once, and we have not received any more funding from them,” she said.
Her response comes amid growing speculation and questions about the movement’s funding model and how it sustains its national operations.
