OASIS Forum Chairperson Beauty Katebe says the UPND government should allow civil society to do their work without being labelled opposition, stating that the Forum did similar work under PF and was not labelled UPND. Recently, President Hakainde Hichilema’s Political Advisor Ley Ngoma said government would now treat the Oasis Forum like a political opponent because it had shown that it wanted a change of government. His remarks followed the Oasis Forum’s advice to the opposition that they should unite and choose a candidate for next year’s presidential elections.
