The Durban-based club confirmed Mushore’s arrival from Highlanders FC on a permanent deal on Wednesday evening,adding depth to a midfield department that has been tested heavily this season.Usuthu are currently fifth in the Betway Premiership standings and are eager to cement their place in the top eight for next season’s MTN8,while also keeping an eye on a possible CAF qualification spot.

Zwane admitted the signing was accelerated by a difficult period where AmaZulu were left thin in key positions due to injuries and unavailability. “The reality of football is we needed to beef up our team because we were a little bit challenged at some point when we lost Bongani (Zungu), Those absences,particularly in central midfield,exposed a lack of balance and options,forcing the technical team to reassess their depth as the demands of the season intensified.“We saw the need to bring in another defensive midfielder with the quality to bring the ball forward,and we’ve been hunting those types of players for quite some time now.”
