Sune Luus will bring up another Proteas Women’s milestone on Wednesday. Proteas Women’sstalwartSune Luuswill add to illustrious legacy when she takes the field for Proteas Women’s in the second One Day International against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve in Wellington (midnight start SA time) in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The veteran all-rounder is set to become only the second South African woman to reach the milestone of 150 caps for South Africa, a testament to her longevity and importance to the national side.

“I’m obviously very happy and excited for it,” Luus said ahead of the clash. “Every time you get onto the field and represent your country is a big honour, and tomorrow is no different. Hopefully, there can be 150 more.

The Proteas won the first ODI, a high-scoring affair that saw South Africa successfully chase down their second-highest target ever thanks to a six off the final ball by starletKayla Reyneke.
