With an ever-assertive Cameroon side beginning to find its rhythm, Bafana Bafana seemed to cede some control in midfield. Though South Africa continued to create chances, it became evident they were unable to convert any of them into goals. “We are very disappointed and sad that we are eliminated today,” Broos said. “I think we had the right players and we had three big chances in the first half and normally the game is to be done then but when you miss those chances, you pay the bill (by conceding) with a lucky goal.”
