Expect to see the new iCaur V23 on local roads from May. In a world of ‘same-old’ SUVs and crossovers that are becoming harder to tell apart, the iCaur brand promises a breath of fresh air with products that are designed to bring a more playful spirit to the new vehicle market. The iCaur brand is owned by Chinese auto giant Chery, but it has a highly unique personality, to say the least.
This is perfectly captured in the highly customisable and retro-styled V23, which takes its design inspiration from classic off-roaders of yesteryear. It almost makes you want to rip it out of a colourful box on your birthday! The V23 will be introduced alongside the more modern-looking 03T when the brand makes its South African debut in the second half of May.
Both are fully electric vehicles, but ‘range extender’ versions are set to join the range in 2027, while the larger V27 is also set for local introduction. IOL managed to get a sneak peek of the new V23 at the company’s head office ahead of launch. The funky V23 will spearhead the local iCaur range.
