The accident partially blocked traffic towards Glen Norah, leading to long tailbacks and diversions during peak hours.
Authorities also had to manage a diesel spill from the overturned vehicle.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
At the time of reporting, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) had not issued an official statement on the incident, and it remains unclear how the Ministry of Transport will respond.

Last month, a truck owned by Tika Chem Investments lost its granite stone load, damaging guard rails and newly-laid pavement.
The Ministry of Transport ordered the truck owner to repair the damage at their own cost and held the truck until it was deemed roadworthy by the Vehicle Inspection Department.
The decision sparked legal debate, with lawyer Obey Shava telling ZimLive that the ministry’s directive was “illegal” and lacked legal backing. “Ministry officials should desist from making emotional and costly decisions.
Due process must be followed,” Shava said.
Whether authorities will take similar action in the latest crash remains to be seen.
The Trabablas Interchange, designed to ease congestion on Harare’s busy roads, has been operational for less than a year but has already witnessed multiple heavy truck incidents.
