The Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube will be briefing the media following the identification of an examination breach during the marking process of the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. According to a statement by the Department of Basic Education, the breach was detected through the Department’s internal monitoring and oversight systems.
Gwarube will outline the immediate interventions and the measures being implemented to safeguard the integrity and credibility of the 2025 NSC examination results. The briefing will take place on Thursday at 8.30 am.
