Emergency services responded to a dramatic incident at the La Lucia Mall today after the driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed into a wall on the upper level of the premises. Northglen Newsreportsthat according to Marshall Security, the vehicle struck a wall structure on the upper parking level, sending debris falling onto cars parked below. One parked vehicle sustained damage as a result of the falling rubble.
The driver of the vehicle escaped without injury and was assessed by paramedics at the scene as a precaution. Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell said the situation was swiftly contained. “Our community support officers responded immediately to the scene.
The driver was fortunately not injured and there were no reports of serious injuries or fatalities. Two operators are in attendance to ensure the vehicle is safely removed and the affected area is secured,” said Powell. La Lucia Mall centre manager Vanessa Blevins confirmed the incident.

In a press statement sent to theNorthglen News, Blevins said the collision resulted in damage to the vehicle and a section of the parking structure and nearby parked vehicles. “No injuries have been reported. The driver is receiving medical attention, and the matter is being handled by the relevant authorities and mall operations remain unaffected,” she said.
