​The gates to the Victoria Falls Rainforest have officially reopened to tourists following a brief precautionary closure by the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks). ​In a press statement, ZimParks Spokesperson Mr. Luckmore Safuli explained that the temporary shutdown was prompted by elephants encroaching into the rainforest area.

​”The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority wishes to inform members of the public, tourism stakeholders, and all visitors that the Victoria Falls Rainforest has reopened following a temporary closure undertaken as a precautionary safety measure after elephants entered the Rainforest area.” ​The swift action was necessary to guarantee visitor safety within this strategic and iconic section of the majestic destination. Thanks to efficient wildlife management, the closure lasted foronly two and a half hours.
