Valley Seeds primed for 2025/26 planting season

Company officials said 60% of the seeds have already been delivered and the remainder expected to be in well before the beginning of the planting season. ZIMBABWE’s premier seed house, Valley Seeds, has announced readiness for the upcoming 2025-2026 farming season with seeds earmarked for the Presidential Input scheme already in stock. This will ensure that farmers have access to high-quality planting.

Managing Director, Aluis Chareka, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing the best seeds for the nation during a media tour. “We are fully prepared to meet the demands of our farmers and contribute to the agricultural advancement of our country,” he said. “In addition to our readiness for the season, we are expanding our infrastructure.

A new storage shed is currently under construction at our Juru Manufacturing Plant to enhance our storage capabilities.” Valley Seeds recently commissioned a state-of-the-art traditional grains processing plant in Ruwa. Furthermore, the seed producer is actively working to strengthen the seed value chain through the development of an oil and stock feed manufacturing plant in Ruwa. Commercial Director, Tich Maponga, also emphasized the company’s preparedness to meet local market demands.
