Following its closure for repairs last week, uShaka’s Wet ’n Wild water park reopened on Thursday. According to a statement issued by eThekwini Municipality, the water park had closed for repairs and comprehensive technical assessments, all of which have now been completed. “The temporary closure was due to a technical fault within the water plant system, which required immediate attention to safeguard critical operational infrastructure and ensure proper water quality for guests,” it said.
Ushaka’s CEO, Ndabo Khoza, said the closure might have been an inconvenience for some; however, the safety of guests and the integrity of the facilities were the park’s highest priorities. “We are satisfied that all necessary measures have been implemented and that Wet ’n Wild is ready to safely welcome visitors once again. “We extend our sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their patience and continued support,” Khoza said.
