An unidentified man has been found dead in Petauke, with the head and other body parts missing. The decomposed body that was found lying under a tree, was discovered by a 14 year old boy, of Chipatila Section, Chief Kalindawalo who was herding cattle within the area.Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer, Robertson Mweemba says the discovery was made on Friday, January 23, 2026, at around 17:00 hours.He said the missing head and other body parts are suspected to have been eaten by wild animals, as evidenced by the scavenging marks.“The body was in an advanced decomposed state, with other parts including the head missing.
