Two dead in crash amid snow and sleet

Two people have died after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash on the R617 just past Mphophomeni on Monday. Midlands EMS Howick crews were dispatched to the scene following reports of a serious motor vehicle accident. On arrival, emergency services found that a single vehicle had been involved in the crash, with two occupants ejected from the vehicle.

Both sustained severe injuries and were declared dead at the scene after emergency medical personnel assessed them. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown and are expected to be investigated by the relevant authorities.
