THE Tonse Alliance has elected Brian Mundubile as its presidential candidate ahead of the 2026 general election. The Tonse Alliance has split into two factions, one led by Given Lubinda and another now headed by Mundubile, who takes over the mantle from Apostle Dan Pule. Mundubile, who is also a PF presidential aspiring candidate, has since called on fellow party members to join the alliance, emphasising that the country cannot afford further division.
Speaking after his election, Wednesday, Mundubile said there was plenty of room in the “real” Tonse tent. “Fellow countrymen and women, I stand before you as a deeply humbled man to accept the high privilege you’ve bestowed upon me to lead this great inimitable alliance as president…. Do you agree that child defilers should be castrated?
