Thuli P’s debut EP, ‘Avana’, marks her official entry into the music scene, blending amapiano rhythms with themes of empowerment, love and social consciousness. “I stepped into theentertainment industryat fifteen full of passion, a hunger to learn and a willingness to grow,” said Soweto-born actress, DJ and media personalityThuli P, reflecting on her journey as she officially enters the music world with her debut EP, “Avana”. Thuli P’s path in entertainment has been expansive. She began with youth programming, moving from “Tshisa” to “Thula”, then presenting on Craz-e. Her acting career includes roles in iconic series such as “Generations”, “Makoti”, “The Republic”, “Rockville” and “The Wife”.
“Each project has shaped my craft and deepened my respect for storytelling,” she explained. In 2017, she expanded into DJing, a move that she described as life-changing. “It has sustained me creatively and professionally, and it reaffirmed my belief that reinvention is a strength, not a risk, especially through all the public trials and tribulations.”
