Silver Strikers responded with sustained pressure, particularly through Dan Sandukira on the left flank, but they squandered two inviting chances before Wanderers reasserted control midway through the half.

The hosts eventually found their equaliser six minutes before the break. Binwell Katinji produced a moment of brilliance, chesting down a long pass from Nickson Mwase, spinning between two defenders and drilling into the bottom corner.

Silver nearly took the lead moments later when Innocent Shema’s header crashed against the crossbar on the stroke of halftime.

Wanderers restored their advantage early in the second half as Sulumba powered home a header from an Isaac Kaliati corner. But the lead lasted only minutes.

After Macdonald Lameck was fouled in the box, Katinji stepped up to convert from the spot, claiming his brace and sealing the 2-2 result.

The draw keeps the title race finely poised as the league enters its decisive phase.
