Two suspects released after assaulting security guard in East London. Two suspects who were caught on camera assaulting a security guard at eBuhlanti Marina Glen in East London, Eastern Cape have been released on warning. The duo was swiftly arrested after footage of the brutal assault circulated online.

Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana said the suspects are facing charges of common assault. The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are possible. No further information is available for release.

Eyewitness posts about the video suggest theassaultbegan when the guard asked the group to move their vehicle off the road near the beach before they attacked him. Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Eastern Cape, Major General Thandiswa Kupiso, praised the prompt action of law enforcement officers that led to the arrests. The two suspects now facecharges of common assaultand are due to appear in court.
