FORMER religious affairs minister Reverend Godfridah Sumaili says the introduction of a public holiday to celebrate Zambia as a Christian nation is a positive move and long overdue. However, Rev Sumaili has called on President Hakainde Hichilema to act in a manner that shows that Zambia is truly a Christian nation. During the 34th commemoration of the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation on Monday, President Hichilema announced that government would make December 29 a public holiday to celebrate the declaration.
