According to the document, the bank continued to expand its operations, with total assets growing by 0.7% to 195.259 billion meticais (€2.604 billion) in June, compared with the end of 2025. Customer deposits increased by 5.0% to 146.558 billion meticais (€1.955 billion), while net loans to customers fell by 10.8% to 28.950 billion meticais (€386.1 million), also compared with the financial year ended in December. Total liabilities grew by 1.3% to 157.102 billion meticais (€2.095 billion), while equity decreased by 1.6% to 38.110 billion meticais (€508 million).

The financial statements also show operating income of 8.052 billion meticais (€107.4 million) and operating profit before impairments of 3.462 billion meticais (€46.2 million) for the six-month period. Standard Bank Mozambique’s profit had already fallen by 26% in 2025, to 4.526 billion meticais (€60.4 million), after reaching 6.134 billion meticais (€81.8 million) in 2024 and a record 7.191 billion meticais (€95.9 million) in 2023. Its main shareholder is Stanbic Africa Holdings Limited, which holds 98.15% of the share capital and is controlled by South African group Standard Bank Group.
