The fired members in the long-running dispute that pitted leaders against each other will return to the church unconditionally after both warring factions signed a consent order in the High Court, following advice from Justice Zein Kebonang to settle their matter rather than continue with prolonged court battles. In the consent order, both sides accepted that all expelled or dismissed members would be readmitted without any conditions and without being required to reapply. It is not uncommon in this part of the world for parents to actually punish their children when they show signs of depression associating it with issues of indiscipline, and as a result, the poor child will be lashed or given some kind of punishment.
