He claims investigators have discovered that the explosives found in his car were ‘planted’.

PRETORIA, South – Prominent Zimbabwean opposition politician Job Sikhala has been released on R10,000 bail by the Pretoria Magistrates Court in South Africa following his arrest last week for allegedly transporting explosives.
Police said they discovered 26 blasting cartridges and 15 capped fuse connectors in a vehicle Sikhala was driving in the South African capital. His 78-year-old uncle Alexander Thema, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested.
After spending nearly a week in custody, the former St Mary’s MP was greeted by dozens of supporters outside the courthouse on Thursday.
Visibly relieved but guarded, Sikhala claimed police investigations would absolve him.
“We always believed that South Africa has an independent judiciary. Here there is no feja feja [fraudulent] judiciary, and there are no feja feja investigations. They have found out that these things were planted in our car,” he said.
The case was postponed to February next year to allow for further investigations.
