Harare- The Selekta Base Foundation, led by its founder Arnold Tinashe Chigwerewere, also known as Selekta Base has made an impact in the Sunningdale community this past weekend. The charity event was attended by His Worship the Mayor of Harare Councillor Jacob Mafume who commended the foundation for its philanthropic efforts. In a statement, the Mayor praised Selekta Base for his positive contributions to the city.
“His Worship the mayor, Cllr Jacob Mafume, has commended Arnold Tinashe Chigweremwe, founder of Selekta Base Foundation, for his philanthropic efforts in the community,” the City of Harare noted. The mayor also highlighted the foundation’s role in creating jobs and enhancing the city’s entertainment scene. The event was a united effort, with bike clubs, car clubs, friends and supporters joining Selekta Base to ensure its success.
The foundation expressed its sincere gratitude to all who participated and contributed.Selekta Base shared a powerful message of compassion and action, stating: “You do not have to wait until you are rich to help those in need. Giving back starts with compassion, unity and action.” While at the event, Mayor Mafume also addressed some of the pressing challenges faced by Harare residents including issues with water, sewer systems and poor road conditions. He assured the public that solutions are being sought.
