In a significant show of national unity and humanitarian synergy, renowned philanthropist and traditional leader Dr. Sekuru Kamwelo Banda attended a high-profile food distribution programme in Nyabira this Wednesday, 7 January 2026. The initiative, which targeted vulnerable families in Nyabira underscored the growing partnership between private philanthropists and the First Office in addressing the plight of the vulnerable.

Through her Angel of Hope Foundation we have seen a lot of improvement towards warfare of disadvantaged members of societies across Zimbabwe. Today i witnessed food programme extended to more than 1400 families in Nyabira. There are a lot of Programmes which the First Lady has done which include Women and Youth Empowerment, assisting vulnerable members of the community, fight against drug sabstance and abuse, breast cancer awareness, rehabilitation centers among other impact programmes,” said Dr.
Banda further emphasized that the First Lady’s work acts as a critical catalyst for the broader national goals set by the Presidency. He noted that the survival and empowerment of the most marginalized are prerequisites for the successful attainment of Vision 2030.
