A 13-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl was ripped apart by three vicious dogs in Nyabira, the latest in a chilling wave of canine killings that has left Zimbabweans in shock.Caroline Chari met her gruesome end on 29 September while walking home from school with friends at St Mannocks Farm. The marauding pack pounced, forcing the terrified pupils to scatter. Tragically, the dogs caught up with Caroline and fatally mauled her.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl, Caroline Chari, who was mauled to death by three vicious dogs,” national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed in a statement.Police swiftly arrested the owner of the killer dogs, 50-year-old Gift Jambaya, who allegedly ignored veterinary guidelines. “It is sad to note that the vicious dogs were last vaccinated in 2024 and the owner ignored the Department of Veterinary Services’ 2025 rabies vaccination outreach programme,” said Comm Nyathi.
