Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident, saying investigations were underway to determine the cause of the fire. “The circumstances leading to the outbreak are still under investigation,” said police. “We urge members of the public to exercise caution around potential fire hazards, especially in areas where vehicles or flammable materials are stored. ”
Witnesses in the area described the scene as “chaotic and tragic,” with thick smoke and flames consuming the vehicles before firefighters could contain the blaze.
