The company’s founder, Professor Clemence Jaricha, said they are planning to establish a sub-headquarters and workshop in the country. “We are looking for opportunities to invest in land and property, to further expand our global footprint and for us to achieve this, we are seeking a large piece of land, valued at around US$4 million, to accommodate the new facility,” he said. “The company is also interested in acquiring a football club in Bulawayo, further solidifying its presence in the country. ”The decision to invest in the country, he said, is an acknowledgement of the importance of finding balance in life and focusing on his personal well-being and exploring new opportunities.

With regards to shopping malls, Prof Jaricha said their focus is not only on urban centres by also rural areas. “As a company, we have been focusing on developing rural areas and townships by building malls and shopping centres,” he said. “This initiative has not only created jobs but also contributed to the economic growth of the regions where the company operates. ”Apart from investing in Zimbabwe, Prof Jaricha also expressed an interest in extending his philanthropic efforts to Zimbabwe through his foundation, CJ Global Foundation, where he serves as president. “The foundation’s philanthropic efforts have made a significant impact on the communities where the company operates and we intend to extend the same to Zimbabwe because we do not believe in just chasing the dollar but improving the lives of people and communities where we operate in light of the values of ubuntu,” he said. 🔗
