QUALITY CULTURE KEY TO BOTSWANA’S GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS

As global markets become more demanding, quality assurance is becoming essential for Botswana’s competitiveness and consumer confidence. The Botswana Exporters and Manufacturers Association say the country has made progress in adopting quality standards, but more must be done for quality to become part of everyday practice.

Association representative Ali Nwako says quality should not be seen only as a requirement to meet regulations, but as a natural part of how products are made and services delivered. He adds that although Botswana is on the right track, many businesses still treat quality as something to think about only when they have to meet specific standards.
