The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of ZESA Holdings, has said the public is not required to replace transformers or any other electricity infrastructure in the event of faults, nor to pay anyone to carry out repairs. In a public notice issued on Thursday, 20 November, ZETDC said the matter is under investigation to determine the cause of the fire and verify the claims circulating online. βWe strongly urge the Kambuzuma residents and the public at large not to pay any individuals for service or material replacement.
βWhile ZETDC is responsible for replacing damaged equipment, the Customer Supplied Material (CSM) Scheme is available as an optional method to fast-track repairs during material shortages. βUnder the CSM scheme, customers do not pay ZETDC employees; they procure the materials, following a formal approval process, and are guaranteed REFUND in electricity units.β TAGGED:ZimbabweZimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company Previous ArticleZETDC Explains How Its Customer Supplied Material Scheme WorksNext ArticleGuruve Man Dies In Pfumvudza Holes Fight Previous ArticleZETDC Explains How Its Customer Supplied Material Scheme Works ZETDC Explains How Its Customer Supplied Material Scheme Works Next ArticleGuruve Man Dies In Pfumvudza Holes Fight
