President Hichilema Pledges State-of-the-Art Hospital for Luwingu

President Hakainde Hichilema has pledged to construct a state-of-the-art new district Hospital to cater for the growing population of Luwingu President Hichilema said plans are underway to improve the current state of the Luwingu district hospital to a much bigger and improved facility. The Head of State noted that government was aware that the current hospital is inadequate to meet the demand of the district. “I am aware that the hospital is in bad shape and I can assure you that we have plans to build a new hospital,” he said President Hichilema also extended his powers to have the health volunteers who gathered to listen to his developmental plans at kapisha school grounds in Luwingu district to be considered for recruitment.

Mr Hichilema further pledged to rehabilitate the Luwingu -Nsombo road, Luwingu- Chaba-road and Luwingu- Kasama road. Other projects planned for in the district include expansion of the current skills center into a skills college. He said Government has more development planned for Luwingu district but the projects can only be implemented if the people vote for the vision carriers.

“We have a lot of projects that we want to undertake for you the lovely people of Luwingu but this can only be done if next week you vote for the UPND,” he said. He reminded the people of the many projects that government has implemented in the past 4 years citing the free education, school feeding and increase of the CDF among other programmes. Mr Hichilema further asked the gathering whether they would like to go back to paying school fees adding that his government signed into law the free education and hence children will forever attend school for free.
